SIRS article: Global Warming Rushes Timing of Spring

This article talkes about how GW has hastened the biological clocks of many species and, as a result, made spring come earlier.  It talks about how plants start budding to early and then die from a last minute cold snap like we experienced last year.  The changing of a plants habits also greatly affect the well being of the animals that depend on it.  If the plant buds earlier than the animal coming back from their winter get away then the animals will starve.  The butterfly was noticed first and the cause of this was that the plants dried out too quick and killed off the catepillars.  Not only this but the pollen count is extremely high for a “normal” spring and allergies get bad too early for it to be spring.

We are if it does not end up being just another cycle this world goes through, but I have faith that eventually the world will find its balance again and all the animals and plants will get their timings good again. That sounded like horrible grammar, sorry Mrs. P

I’m not as worried about that sentence as I am about the pollen and the affect/effect misuse above :-)

Fine you caught me, it was late and I think that was like the fifth article in a row (not to make excuses or anything). The pollen will be very bad, especially for all of the allergies in the world.
